I am a freelance editor, writer, and copywriter from Detroit with extensive experience in communications, marketing, and events. I graduated with my journalism degree from Eastern Michigan University and soon found my second love working with children in the child welfare system through residential and foster care programs in the State of Michigan.
While currently working with local families in human services, I also continue to freelance for multiple publications and ad agencies across the country. Such as Forbes, The Independent and Rachel Ray Everyday. I'm a member of (NABJ) National Assosciation of Black Journalists and PEN America. I have lead discussions for Banned Books Week events for Detroit chapter of Pen American. I have also moderated a panel discussion for PEN America covering Local Media and Immigrant Justice
